Sushi Ya in Schaumburg

I certainly like their dishes and service, awesome area nearby to where I live. The workers are always very friendly. Highly recommended.

As other reviews mention the restaurant is small but huge on flavor. The orders for my group were fairly priced, of good size, and delicious. Our waiter was also prompt and helpful with order decisions. This place is definitely worth the visit!

My neighborhood go-to. Always fresh and tastes good. Lunch specials are a good deal. Been going here with my co workers for a few years.

The food is regularly well prepared and tasty, workers hands over awesome customer service. I loved how neat it is and ambience. I highly recommend this place.

Friendly staff and they guide the first timers well. Loved the chicken katsu, huge size but very yummy. Love their Cali roll and avocado roll.. they give you soup and edamame free of charge.. take out available. Place is small and it is packed during business hours .. so go early.

It's fairly well priced for the amount of sushi you receive. Lots of choices. It's a small place, so not the best place for big groups but it had a nice atmosphere.

Very tasty sushi at a pretty reasonable price. I found them on google, and was pleased to find that the reviews were right. There's a small area in front and a larger dining area in back, so it's not as small as it looks from the street.

Very small restaurant. Sushi is good. They got busy on a Friday night and had trouble keeping up with service. Overall, I would go back depending on the wait time.

Oh my God. This place has the best sushi I have ever tasted. I go here All. The. Time. It's small and not too crowded, but it is really a hidden gem. I recommend the Fire Crunch Maki roll. I can eat 4 of them. The Avocado Torch roll is also very good.

Great local place, clean, comfortable, and a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and efficient. We thought the food was good and they accommodated us with no reservations on a Saturday night. Our 2nd time there and we would recommend.

Not impressed with Chirashi Sushi. See photo. No egg, no caviar, and I really don't like it when it is served on a white plate like this slapped on without much consideration to Japanese sense of presentation. Service was not very attentive - I had to call to have the tea refilled. For this many stars I expect a bit better. The bento and cooked stuff like tempura and rolls on my neighboring tables look better. Thus keeping this from falling to 2 stars.

Foods good had a large $146 take out order. Woulda been $180 I guess. Didn’t get a couple items ordered after she repeated everything to me on the phone when I ordered. Called back to tell them the whole order wasn’t there. She told me I wasn’t charged for those items repeatedly and asked if I wanted to order them. Nothing to make it right. No we will bring it to you nothing. Door Dash couldn’t deliver either as originally so they can shove the 18% door dash fee too! Obviously, they were very busy. However, I think it could have been handled better for the size of the order. Not getting 5 stars from me based on service. Sorry

Ordered take out today, walked through the door and was greeted right away. The lady there was very nice and gave me a few minutes to look at the menu. I ordered a Bento box, it was really good but the fried rice was kind of bland. I felt as if the rice lacked flavor the overall atmosphere of the place was really nice and they were playing modern music which was really nice too.

Awesome sushi! It's the best in the north west burbs. Great prices and they use very fresh fish. I have never had a bad experience here. Highly recommended by a very picky sushi fan.

My most favorite Sushi Restaurant! Everything about this place is wonderful. My family and I absolutely love this place. Even though we have all moved away from Schaumburg it's a must stop every time we come to town!

We drive an hour regularly to eat here. The sushi is so FRESH and for the price you just cannot beat it! I’ve eaten at A LOT of sushi places in the area and this is by far my favorite. My favorite roll is their SUNSET MAKI - so fresh and sweet! Don’t let the old reviews about service deter you. This place is amazing.

Best Sushi ever!I love Sushiya- the staff is friendly; the service is great; and most importantly, the food is delicious! All of the fish is fresh. The restaurant is small and has a cozy vibe. I have come here multiple times and have not been disappointed. I highly recommend to try the Rainbow Roll and Spicy Scallop Roll, as those were my favorites. Such a great spot for sushi.

Great food , but everytime I come here I want the baked avocado fire ball appetizer and they refuse to make it because 'it's a complicated dish'... literally what the waiter told me. If you guys don't want to make what's on your menu then take it off! I am a frequent visitor too. Well WAS.

After driving by for many years, i decided to give it a try because my normal sushi place went downhill. The reviews were great so I had high hopes. They came through. The staff was friendly and the sushi was very well done. The prices were right in line with the surrounding sushi places but in my opinion stands a bit above the rest in quality. It is a tiny little place but cozy and clean. I highly recommend this place.
